Dog training should be enjoyable and fun for owners and dogs as well as educational.
All our courses offer the most modern, fun and easy methods of training in an informal, relaxed manner. We use only kind, fair and effective training techniques based on reward and motivation. Harsh, punitive methods are not acceptable and in no way necessary. Better ways are scientifically proven, reward based training far outweighs punishing methods.
The regular training days are Mondays and Tuesdays with 6 week courses ongoing throughout the year. Please see Puppy Classes / Junior Classes / Lifeskills Classes.
During the summer months 4 week Fun Courses and Introduction to Agility Courses are run for dogs over 6 months old that have completed some basic training.
Number one and number two on every dog owner's wish list are to have their dog 'Come when Called' and 'Walk Nicely on the Lead'. We hold our popular Saturday Workshops four times a year to work with dogs and their owners to achieve both. Places are limited so please book early to avoid disappointment.
The venue for most of the training is Fraser Hall, Cowan Bridge near Kirkby Lonsdale where we have indoor and safe outdoor facilities. Training sessions are also held in the fields of the Westmorland Veterinary Group practice at Kirkby Lonsdale, this offers real life training surrounded by smells of rabbits and sheep. The fields allow lots of space for obstacle courses, fun agility and training with games helping to improve outdoor control.
